When it Becomes Too Much

Our Tips to Help

  • Keep a diary and write down how you are feeling – this will also help you understand what triggers you to want to harm yourself
  • Listen to your favourite music
  • Talking to your good friends or family
  • Breathe slowly – in for a count of 3 through the nose and out through the mouth for a count of 5. Continue doing this until you feel calmer
  • If you feel angry- hit a pillow instead
  • Do some exercise
  • Draw on your body as an alternative
  • Squeeze a stress ball or an ice cube
